It's candy all round at Mulberry

As always, I am in love with what Mulberry put down the catwalk this season. Accompanying the candy colours and bold stripes, was back-combing, dainty lace and, as always, a host of well-dressed canine companions. Grounded with khaki and made practical with waterproof macs, (we all know you need one in this country!), this candy floss collection is right at the top of my dream wish list!

Fashion Babylon

Ever wanted to know what goes into a fashion collection? Where designers get their ideas? How a supermodel becomes so 'super'? And who really decides what hot and what's not?
I have just finished reading 'Fashion Babylon' by Imogen Edwards-Jones and have learnt the answers for all those questions and more!

A fictional tale of a struggling designer set over a six month period; it gives a fascinating insight into the design process from drawing board to runway and everything in-between. A frank and sometimes shocking story that features amazing anecdotes supplied by the anonymous source that Edwards-Jones always seems to coax into working with her. I recommend it to anyone interested in fashion!
"Exquisitely cut and gorgeously detailed, Fashion Babylon explains the mark-ups and the comedowns, the fabulous extremes and the shoddy short cuts behind one of the most lucrative and secretive of businesses." - http://www.imogenedwardsjones.com

Casa Das Portas

So whilst in Portugal (who knows how I afford all these holidays?) over the last two weeks, I got slightly obsessed with photographing old doors and windows. I love the ornate designs, patterned tiles and crumbling walls.

Sex, the City and Patricia Field

Recently, I have found myself with a lot of time on my hands - that's being a student during the summer I guess. To fill up my days I have renewed my love for the original Sex and the City series. The characters, the clothes and the comedy - I love everything about it.
Patricia Field is an artist - an experimental bold artist who knows how to dress a woman. My favourite outfits of all the six series are the ones Carrie wears during her time in Paris. They really show off her flair for out-there and sophisticated clothes.

Love her or hate her (she does give us some legitimate reasons - who wears 5 inch heels for just lounging about the house?) we all can't help but envy Carrie Bradshaw's fabulous wardrobe, because I certainly do!

Mediterranean Masterpieces

Wherever I go, whether it's a family holiday or a weekend to London, I always enjoy taking arty photographs along the way. My recent trip to Greece was no different. Below are some of the images I took. I always keep these pictures for future reference because you never know when I'll be doing a Mediterranean-inspired photo shoot or styling project! I loved the crystal clear waters, pastel colours and Grecian trees.

Lanvin Love

After choosing Lanvin to research for my latest uni project, I have developed a great love for their head designer, Alber Elbaz, and all he does! The long dresses, the sculpted shoulders and the clean lines make Paris' longest standing couture house stand out from the fash-pack.
Check out the video below for look at their latest creations. Enjoy :) xx
